When the world of social media and my passion for hair collide.
I knew form a very young age that I wanted to do hair. As soon as I could I started working towards being a hairdresser, I did.
When I started doing social media, tutorials on YouTube I always thought this was a small hobby where I got to do more “hair things”
Now over five years later I spend equal time on YouTube as I do in the salon and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Social media is still new to me and aim still learning everyday and look forward to sharing with you in a future post my troubles and advantages with it. For now I will share with you a week of celebrating these two things with my two favorite hair brands, T3 and Redken!
The Last week of October I flew down to LA first for a T3 retreat in Malibu!
We were a group of about fifteen girls staying at the Surfrider hotel. I had a hammock on balcony and a view of the ocean. We had a group brunch to get to know everyone and a styling station set up daily to do our hair before dinner. To make sure we were photo ready with gorgeous hair! I dare you to find a group of girls with prettier hair!
We also had a photo shoot on the beach and ended the trip with an amazing sunset dinner at Nobu in Malibu! One of my favorite restaurants in California! Who doesn’t love sushi while listening the the waves crashing right beside you.
Then I was off to West Hollywood to stay at the Andaz to celebrate with Redken, three decades of shades eq! The toners that every colorist loves!!
Redken will always have a special place in my heart as my color training was in a Redken affiliated academy. It was incredibly special to me to celebrate a product which is so imperative to my career as a hairdresser and blonde specialist, the fabulous shades eq gloss toners.
Redken rented out a beautiful mansion in West Hollywood for the festivities. There were about 200 hairdressers there to celebrate it was a true honor to be amongst so much talent and everyone has a blast!
It was an incredible trip with lots of memories made!
Here is a recap of the trip!
